Quest for Excellence and Quality Assurance

We are in the business of sustainability, therefore at BERNAS, quality is never compromised.

Gaining the trust of customers and the public at large through uncompromising product quality is crucial for the sustainability of our business. BERNAS’ quest for excellence and quality assurance is best exemplified by the setting up of our own MS ISO/IEC 17025:2017 certified rice laboratory, spearheaded by a team of qualified and experienced personnel.

On average, the BERNAS Quality team carried out inspections and analyses on consignments of more than one million MT of local and imported rice. Quarterly inspections were also conducted on rice stored in BERNAS’s warehouses and mills to ensure a high standard of safety and quality of stock.

Our Lab is MS ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Certified

Compliance with the MS ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard provides an internationally recognised basis for laboratory accreditation. The standard dictates that a laboratory maintain testing facilities and equipment to a specified standard, adhere to documented protocol, train employees to proper competence levels, validate the proper methodology, follow industry-standard methods for calculating uncertainty, confirm that test equipment meets necessary criteria and that all equipment used is ISO 17025 calibrated.
